My son asked me to run a game.
I decided to run a program.
There's something special about sitting around a table.
When my family and I returned to Australia, we were determined to bring the things we loved about our time overseas back with us. Sure, we brought clothes, art, and decorations. We even brought our Mexican rescue dog (boy was that expensive!).
But just as importantly we brought with us a deeper understanding of the value of community and connection.
In Mexico, we lived in a small town by the beach. We played games. Explored. Imagined. And often, just hung out with friends, chatting and doing nothing at all.
I started teaching surfing, volleyball, and touch rugby. My wife embraced language and dance, and returned to teaching pilates. We found pride in the smaller things. In seeing people open up. Progress. Challenge themselves. And learn.
KINHALL is born from all that we brought back with us - the values we now hold dear: play, storytelling, conversation, laughter, curiosity, learning, and creativity.
Tabletop roleplaying combines all of those things. It asks people to put their phones down, sit face-to-face and imagine something together. It’s been a passion of mine for decades
Two years ago I introduced my son to tabletop roleplaying. He loved it and recently asked me to run a game for his new Australian friends. After a chat with my wife, and my son’s principal, I decided to run a program.
Our first KINHALL programs introduce young people to tabletop roleplaying through the most famous TTRG of them all, Dungeons & Dragons. Over time, KINHALL will explore more ways for people to play, make, learn and gather.
For now, we're starting with the table.

Our after-school tabletop roleplaying sessions are limited in size. We want to make sure that every child attending gets to enjoy the full experience. Register your child now to make sure they get in on the fun.
